ISLAMABAD July 02, 2016 Hashoo Foundation, in collaboration with Ranrra NGO and Hashoo Group, held a gift pack distribution ceremony under “Sharing is Caring” project, at Community Centre, Aabpara, Islamabad. The objective of this project was to demonstrate solidarity with those who are less privileged; through this activity 200 families including minorities have been provided with clothes, food items and even toys for children.
Ms. Ayesha Khan, Country Director, Hashoo Foundation said, “even the smallest act of kindness counts, because often it has a rippling effect and when multiplied by millions of people, it can transform the world.”
Commenting on the distribution ceremony, Mr. Shahid Hameed Mir, Member Board of Trustee Hashoo Foundation said, “The Foundation is focused towards empowering marginalized and underprivileged segments of society. We believe in supporting them with whatever resources we have”.
At the ceremony, gift packs were distributed among 200 identified families having monthly income less than PKR 3,000 as a predefined selection criterion.
Pandit Channa Lal, President, Minorities Rights Sewa Foundation, Senior Management and volunteers of Hashoo Foundation were also present among other notables in the event.
Hashoo Foundation (HF) mission has been to serve the under privileged communities through medical assistance, educational and technical scholarships, skills development, women entrepreneurship and other ways for economic empowerment and social upliftment in Pakistan since 1988.
