Peshawar: Hashoo Foundation (HF) signed an MOU with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peshawar Division (WCCIPD) to cooperate with each other in empowering women entrepreneurs through capacity building in Business Development, Marketing, Research and Innovation in KP Province.
The purpose of this MOU was to outline the respective roles and responsibilities of the two partnering organizations in order to achieve the set objectives of women empowerment. Collaboration between WCCIPD and Hashoo Foundation may also be extended to other areas related to the socio-economic upliftment of youth, women and vulnerable population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Speaking at the event, Ayesha Khan – Country Director, Hashoo Foundation said, “We are aimed at the empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs (WEs), so that their full potential can be leveraged for promoting their creativity and know-how regarding business development and to foster wide access to information on business development and management with the purpose of strengthening entrepreneurial activities among women.” She added that when we invest in women, this means, we invest in entire communities across the board.
Ms. Shamama Arbab – President WCCIPD, speaking on the event, assured of her fullest cooperation in the promotion of business culture for women in the province. Moreover, she also said that WCCIPD would help women entrepreneurs in product development, and also to create additional conducive work spaces in order to entice potential women entrepreneurs. She further said that WCCIPD will provide ‘One Window Facility’ for all practical business development needs as well as for research and development and to provide a forum for debate and discussion and to resolve issues pertinent to their respective business ventures.
