Harnessing Indigenous Cultures for Economic Empowerment of Artisans and Sectarian Harmony in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral (GBC)

Hashoo Foundation in collaboration with Center for Kultur & Udvikling/ Center for Culture & Development (CKU) have initiated a project at Hunza, Ghizer and Chitral (GB), aiming to reduce poverty and marginalization of artisans and craftsmen by introducing them to means, skills and resources that would help them both socially and economically.
20 traditional festivals have been planned to revive and serve as a driver for cultural renewal and peace building, where artists and craft producers, typically from marginalized groups will be organized around their trades and guided and facilitated according to their market needs.
