Child Education Support Program (CESP)

The Child Education Support Program (CESP), a great contribution of HF to the Millennium Development Goal “Primary Education For All by 2015”. Launched in 2004 with two distinct objectives:

  • Providing accessibility to quality education for drop outs coming from marginalized families
  • Empowering children through education and making them self-reliant

As a pilot project, in collaboration with Hashoo Group, CESP was implemented in Gupis- one of the most isolated valleys in Ghizer District, Gilgit Balitistan. By 2004, CESP had expanded to Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Mardan and Peshawar. Children under this scheme are facilitated with the admission fee, books, stationary, uniform and pocket money.

Since inception the support benefitted 1,637 deserving students.
