Emergency Food Assistance to Off Camp IDPs in Kohat, KPK

Overview

Since 2008, recurring sectarian violence and the recent militant operations in Kurram agency (Federally Administered Tribal Areas -FATA) had led to major displacements of the local population. The number of families displaced from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) exceeded over 200,000. Considering the emergency situation, HF entered into an agreement with USAID-Food for Peace (FFP) for the project “Food Assistance to Off-Camp IDPs in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, targeting 3,300 IDPs of Kurram Agency. With an average family size of 7 people, HF reached 21,700 individuals through this program.
